Behind Nordal are the sibling trio Signe, Mads, and Emil Nordal, who represent the second generation in the family-owned business. With a shared understanding of design, details, and materials, they work to create designs that tell a story about the home and the people who inhabit it.

Summerbird started in 1986 as a rebellion against products filled with additives and artificial flavor enhancers. To this day, the company's driving force is the pursuit of the perfect taste, based on "Only Nature's Ingredients," as stated on the very first box of chocolate butterflies.

AYU has its roots in the principles of Ayurveda, which date back more than 5,000 years. The fragrances in the product series are carefully formulated to benefit our physical and mental balance. The scents are based on knowledge of the beneficial effects that aromatic oils can have on us.
